Mr. Laing was the Chairman of CanCham Korea from July 1, 2022 to February 2024. He serves as Lockheed Martin’s executive representative and is responsible for the leadership, strategy, and development of the corporations’ business in the Republic of Korea. He also leads a variety of international business development activities and serves as the executive custodian of the corporations’ relationships with customers, government representatives, industry peers, and stakeholders. From November 2014 until he assumed his current role in Seoul October 2019, Mr. Laing was the Regional Director of Business Development for Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems for the Indo-Pacific based in Singapore.

Mr. Laing held the position of Country Executive - Indonesia in Jakarta for Lockheed Martin International from January 2012 to October 2014. He served as Senior Manager, Corporate International Business Development for Southeast Asia at Lockheed Martin Global, Inc. from November 2005 to December 2011. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Mr. Laing served a large number of government and industry clients through his consulting firm, Gryphon Cypher, based in Hong Kong, after having worked in Canada as a business development manager and senior systems engineer at CANAC/Microtel in Coquitlam BC.

A native of New Westminster, BC, Mr. Laing graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1991 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer (APEGBC).
